We may not be Arkansas locals — we live just one state over — but the Ozarks pulled us in a few years ago and never let go. What started as a weekend off-road trip in our Jeep Rubicon (Blackbird) turned into a search for the perfect cabin getaway. We drove out to see a property with a stunning view of Lake Fort Smith and ended up falling for something else entirely: six acres of raw land that would become Mirrawood.

From the beginning, we wanted something upscale, original, and thoughtfully designed — something that felt elevated yet completely at home in nature. We looked at many designs before Oodhouse showed up in our social media feeds. As one of the few mirror cabin makers actually manufactured in the USA (the saunas are crafted in Estonia), they immediately stood out. We decided to place two of them on our lot and got to work.

The land development was a true undertaking — retaining walls, clearing dead trees, rebuilding the driveway, utilities, and constructing a barn to house our equipment and guest washing facilities. Along the way, we kept raising the bar, upgrading and refining our vision until it became what you see today.

The mirror cabins have exceeded every expectation. They seem to simply disappear into the trees, reflecting the forest around them while offering a surprisingly luxurious experience inside. We hope you enjoy our labor of love as much as we've loved building it.
